Welcome to Kids Village

At The Temple of Belonging, we recognize that true community care includes supporting mothers, children, and families as a whole. That’s why we’ve created the Kids Village, a dedicated space where children can engage in play, creativity, and connection while their mothers participate fully in the healing and wellness offerings. This village isn’t just childcare—it’s a space where children experience the values of belonging, joy, and community through enriching activities and compassionate care. By providing this sanctuary for kids, we ensure that women don’t have to choose between their wellness and their children’s needs, fostering a culture where families can grow stronger together.

Bring your babes to the Village!

Kids Camp is for your children between the ages of 0-6.

Girls Camp will hold sacred space for your children between the ages of 7-13.

Girls over age 13 can participate in all offerings and will need a regular ticket.

Boys under age 6 are welcome.

Kids Village is our devotional offer to mothers and children, with the deepest intention to support both you and your little ones, ensuring that everyone has a space to belong, grow, and feel held.

Kids Camp

Kids Camp offers 7 hours of professionally staffed childcare each day, providing a safe and creative environment for little ones while allowing mamas to fully participate in workshops, rituals, and yoga. This ensures a clear and intentional space for the depth of programming while giving mothers the freedom to drop in, connect, and receive.

Girls Camp

This year at Temple of Belonging, Wild Rivers Collective is offering a week-long girl’s camp for girls ages 8-16. We consider ages 8-10 to be pre-threshold time, and ages 11-16 to be a threshold time. It is our honor to uplift these beautiful ages and stages through a variety of offerings. We are a collective of Village Aunties who have a passion for supporting girls to live into their most embodied, confident, creative selves. Through nature connection, self-inquiry, the art of council, storytelling, hand crafts, song, and ceremony, we offer a sanctuary space for the wild waters of the young feminine to flow freely and joyfully.

The Adolescent Years

This threshold time in a girl’s life is often forgotten by our mainstream culture, and girls are left to initiate themselves, often with unhealthy risk-taking and self-shaming behaviors, into the mysteries of the feminine. These are challenging and confusing years, and these girls need a safe, attuned, and creative space to explore who they are becoming. We are honored to be the banks that hold these winding, wild waters.

Girls Camp at Temple of Belonging is a 5 day container, led by Hanna, Magnolia and Shea. We will be using a mythic lens to deliver our offerings, as we allow the magic of a story to slowly unfold day after day throughout the week. The arch of the story will serve as the container for us to explore the waters of the feminine in a spacious, yet held way. We will end with a culminating, honoring ceremony on Friday, that gathers the entire village to witness and uplift what the girl’s have been working and embodying throughout the week. It is truly a magical experience to gather generations of women around these young ones, and bless them with our hearts' intentions as they cross the “threshold”.

Activities and skills we weave (just to name a few!)

Mythic storytelling

Song sharing & expressive arts (role play)

Trust building & the art of council

Handicrafts & wildcrafting

Visual arts: body paint, adornment and self expression

Play: wilderness awareness games and other silly shenanigans

Herbal wisdom for self-care and cycles and rhythms of the feminine body

Somatic movement & nervous system supports

Plant spirit medicine and flower essences

Drum meditation and anchoring into symbols of strength→making amulet or talisman or rattle

Themes we will explore

Developing relationship with one’s intuition

Noticing the inner critic

Celebrating our unique gifts and talents

The magic of a woman’s body (womb wisdom)

The way of the feminine (flow, creativity and releasing control)

We are honored to hold a sacred space for both the children and mothers attending the gathering.

Girls Camp hosted by

The women of Wild Rivers Collective came together after many beautiful heart longings for creating threshold mentorship for the young feminine. We are Shea, Magnolia and Hanna; the village aunties. We carry a shared vision that supports these young, vibrant, wild rivers on their path of becoming their more authentic selves. We offer soulful and applicable guidance for youth navigating disconnected times. We honor the tender threshold between who they have been and who they are becoming. We remind young ones how to listen to the song of the earth and to the wisdom of the wild river within. We weave a sense of responsibility to self, to land, to more than human kin and to one another.

Shea Bodine

Over the past 12 years, Shea has worked with young people in a variety of settings as a classroom educator, nature-based educator, and emotion resilience mentor. Through her LLC Rooted Resilience, she runs nature-based mentorship & education programs for young people. She weaves practices of non-violent communication, trauma-informed mentoring, somatic practices, and guidance from the Wilderness Awareness Institute into all that she does. In 2023, she completed a Rites of Passage Guide training with EarthPath Education. She continues her study of the great Mystery through deep listening, herbalism and wildcrafting, and general courtship with the unseen and ancestral realms. She is a mama to two sons, whose wild rivers are always teaching her. It is her deep desire that young ones have a place where they can be immersed in gentle and grounded guidance; experience a true sense of belonging and share their most authentic Self with the world.

Magnolia Medlin

Magnolia is a somatic parts-work therapist based in the Columbia River Gorge, who weaves together her training in Somatic Experiencing, Voice Dialogue Parts Work, and two years living and training at a Buddhist monastery to tend spaces of deep listening, creative emergence, and soul connection. She has trained with the School of Lost Borders and she leads women's wilderness rites of passage. She continues to train in community resilience and trust-building with the Peace Research Center and healing biotope of Tamera in Portugal. Her mission is to help midwife the force of life wherever it has become stuck, confused, or stagnant, and to help our young ones find freedom from the inner judge so they can discover their unique way of loving the world.

Hanna Kullberg

As the founder of New Moon Blooms, Hanna ceremonial grade flowers, builds altars for local gatherings, circle and rituals, and crafts heart opening elixirs for body and soul. She brings all these gifts to our rites of passage container. As a student of initiation and transformation, in her work-life she is a holistic business coach and start-up mentor. She is also a mama of two. Known in these circles as a cheerleader who believes deeply in all of our potential to follow our dreams and heart murmurings. Graduate of Vassar College, she is also certified as a holistic health coach and Reiki II with course work in trauma informed coaching, equity & inclusion, non-violent communication, peer group coaching, herbalism and womb wisdom.
